Google Services

Most listings get it wrong

Someone claimed your listing years ago. The hours are from before you changed them, the category is close but not quite right, and half your services are missing.

It's still what a customer reads before deciding to call you. For a lot of them, it's the only thing they read.

The good news is that this is some of the least expensive work that can bring in more calls, and it often shows up in weeks.

What the work is

Business Profile setup and management

Your Google Business Profile is the listing on the map and in the box beside search results. We claim or create it, get it verified, fill in every field properly, and keep it current, so it stops being one more thing on your list.

Categories

Your primary category tells Google what you are, and it's the setting most often wrong. Piling on loosely related categories weakens it.

Google's list changes often, so we pick yours from the live list, not from memory.

Services and descriptions

We add every service Google offers for your category before writing custom ones, and describe each in the plain words your customers use.

No prices, phone numbers or lists of towns. A description ending in three town names tells someone in the fourth town that you don't serve them.

The address, everywhere

Your address should read exactly the same on your listing, your website, every directory and every invoice. "Suite" in one place and "#" in another is enough to cause trouble.

When Google sees different versions, it can treat them as separate businesses and split your credit. It's the most common self-inflicted local ranking problem, and it's cheap to fix.

Photos, questions and posts

Real photos of your place, your people and your work. Questions answered by you before a stranger answers them wrong. Hours that stay right on holidays and during a storm, which in Florida isn't hypothetical.

Multi-location

If you have more than one location, each gets its own listing and its own page. Locations that share a page end up competing with each other.

Google Ads and Local Services Ads

Google Ads put you at the top of the results for the searches you choose, and you pay when someone clicks. We set up the account in your name, build campaigns around what people actually type, and send each ad to a page that answers that search.

Local Services Ads are the listings at the very top with a Google Guaranteed or Google Screened badge, and you pay per lead instead of per click. Not every business qualifies, so we check yours first.

After launch we keep tuning: cutting the searches that waste money and moving budget to what brings calls. You see what every dollar did. No ad budget buys a guaranteed ranking, and we won't promise one.

Search Console and Analytics

Search Console shows how Google sees your site: which searches bring you up and what's broken. Analytics shows what visitors do once they arrive. We connect both, in your account.

Together they answer the question most owners can't: which searches turn into calls.

Tag Manager support

Google Tag Manager keeps your tracking codes in one place, so adding or fixing one doesn't mean editing your site. We use it to count what matters to you: calls, form sends and bookings.

Workspace business email

Email at your own domain, with the account in your name instead of an employee's or a former vendor's. We set up the addresses, move your old mail over, and add the settings that keep your messages out of spam.

Workspace app integrations

Workspace can do a lot more than email. We connect Drive, Sheets, Chat and Gemini to how your business already runs, and set up small automations that save hours: a form that files itself, a reminder that sends itself, a report waiting for you Monday morning.

  • Google Drive and shared drives
  • Apps Script automations
  • Google Chat spaces
  • Gemini in Workspace
  • Connections to the other apps you use

Questions people ask

Why is my competitor ranking above me on the map?
Distance from the person searching is the biggest factor, and no listing work overcomes it. After that: your primary category, how complete your listing is, how many recent reviews you have, and whether your address is written the same way everywhere.
Does the service area field extend my reach?
No. It tells Google where you work, but the distance between the searcher and your business decides who shows up. Listing a huge area reads as a weaker local signal, not a bigger company.
How many categories should I have?
As few as accurately describe your business. Google allows nine, and that isn't a target. Your primary category does most of the work, and every loosely related extra weakens it.
Can you get fake reviews removed?
We can report reviews that break Google's policies, and sometimes they come down. We'll never write reviews, buy them, or reuse review text as marketing copy.
Do you set up Local Services Ads?
Yes, for the categories Google offers them in. You pay per lead instead of per click, and you have to pass Google's screening first, so we check that before setting anything up.
